The Network of International Business Schools (NIBS),
established in 1993, brings together business schools world-wide, who believe
that the globalization of the economy is an essential element in the evolution
of managerial practices. NIBS´ member institutions work together to promote
student and faculty exchanges and interactions, exchange ideas, and set up joint
teaching and research programs while sharing mutual recognition of
qualifications.
The NIBS International Case Competition
In 1996, as part of these endeavors, the Network instituted an
international undergraduate case competition. The aim of the competition is to
promote cross-cultural awareness and to give students an opportunity to explore
international business issues.
The fifth competition was hosted by ESC Rennes in March 2000.
The competition´s rules offer the winning institution the opportunity to host
the next year´s event. Thus, upon winning the 2000 finals, Helsinki School of
Economics and Business Administration got the honor of hosting the next
competition.
The 6th Annual International Case Competition
Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration (HSEBA)
is pleased to invite NIBS member institutions to participate in the 6th Annual
NIBS International Case Competition and we look forward to welcoming qualifying
teams to Helsinki for the Championship Round.
Step 1: The Qualifying Round - 2000

International Business Schools. Each institution may be represented by one team
(composed of four students), in the qualifying round. An advisor from each
institution will serve as liaison with the host institution.
How to enter
Invitations have been faxed to all member institutions.
Schools wishing to enter a team can do so by sending the asked information (full
name and contact information of the institution, a named contact person with
phone, fax and email information, and the names of the four students selected to
represent the institution) to HSEBA by fax or e-mail. Each member institution
wishing to enter a team for the qualifying round is required to pay a fee of $
100 US, payable upon registration. Member institutions who wish to enter a team
in the competition must notify the Helsinki School of Economics and Business
Administration by Friday, November 24, 2000.
Qualifying Round 2000
On Wednesday, Nov. 29, the qualifying round will begin with a
case faxed or emailed to all member institutions that have registered. The team
